About Us
The Trustees, as a collective body, are responsible for the direction and management of the Pate’s Grammar School Foundation established by Richard Pate in 1574 and now a company limited by guarantee and registered charity. The objectives of the Foundation are as follows:
- To support the Pate’s Grammar School Academy and the Richard Pate School (RPS)
- To provide assistance to pupils and ex-pupils (under the age of 25)
- To operate RPS.
In summary the role is as follows:
We have vacancies on our Foundation Board and are looking for trustees with a range of backgrounds and experiences to join our team (see skill set below). Previous Board experience would be beneficial but not a requirement.
- The anticipated basic Trustee commitment is 2-3 hours for up to 12 days per year
- The normal term of office is 4 years with the possibility for re-election
- This is a voluntary position but expenses including training costs will be covered by prior approval
