On Tuesday 10th May, Year 4 enjoyed a Medieval History Day. Throughout the day, the children (wearing a variety of fabulous costumes) took part in a wide range of exciting activities designed to spark their interest and develop their understanding of the Middle Ages. They learned about heraldry and were encouraged to design their own coat of arms which they emblazoned upon their very own shield. They took part in fun and safe archery and jousting activities and they created their own mini dramas in front of the Green screen. There were many more activities including making their own tuzzy muzzy and knight on horseback. Following this, the children planned and wrote their own newspaper articles in based upon the day.
