Inspection Report

Full Inspection – June 2024

The school had its latest successful inspection in June 2024 under the new Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Framework. The new ISI Framework 2023 no longer gives one word judgements for any ISI school. The new framework combines both Educational Quality and Compliance into one inspection every three years. The school passed in all areas and the report highlights strengths under Section 1 – Leadership, Management and Governance, Section 2 –  Quality of Education, Training and Recreation, Section 3 – Pupils’ Physical and Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing and Section 4 – Pupils’ Social and Economic Education and Contribution to Society.

Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection – March 2020

The school had a successful inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in March 2020. Unlike OFSTED (the Office for Standards in Education in the state sector), the ISI do not assign a single assessment to the whole school. The report concluded that the Richard Pate School is “Excellent” in all areas including Pupils’ Academic Achievement and Personal Development, and meets all the standards of the Focused Compliance. “Excellent” is the highest standard used in ISI educational quality inspection reports, and the compliance inspection is a simple pass/fail. Regulatory Compliance Inspection – May 2017

In May 2017, the Richard Pate School underwent a Regulatory Compliance Inspection. The inspection is a simple pass/fail on over 400 regulations, and the result was a pass in all areas. Please click below for the inspection report.
