Dear Parents,

MAY BALL 2010

I am delighted to announce that the PTA are organising a May Ball this year.  Therefore, I should like to take this opportunity to invite you to join me for what promises to be a wonderful evening.  The event will take place in a marquee on the school grounds and there will be welcome drinks, followed by dinner and dancing to a live band.

The Ball will be open to Richard Pate School families and their friends, our staff and their partners, together with a select group of familiar VIPs.  May I ask you to make a note in your diaries of the date, which will be Saturday, 15th May 2010.  We very much hope that the Ball itself may become a regular event in our school calendar. 

In order to gauge the level of support for this event, please would you indicate your ticket requests on the tear-off reply slip below.  If you would like to attend, please complete and return this reply slip to Mrs Minett by latest Friday, 12th February so that the necessary preparations can be put in place.  Nearer the time, you will then be contacted by a member of the Ball Committee to secure and pay for your tickets, and to organise the numbers into groups who are happy to share a table of ten or so.  Tickets will be priced at £45.00 each to include welcome drinks, dinner with a complimentary half-bottle of wine per head, followed by dancing to a live band and a full bar available (at reasonable prices!).  The Ball will start at 7.30-8.00 pm till Midnight and the dress code will be Black Tie.

I hope you will agree that this should be a great opportunity to enjoy a fun evening amongst friends in the beautiful surroundings of our school.  I very much hope that you will wish to support this event and look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
