Swimming 2007 / 2008 (Years 4 and 5)

This will take place in the College pool, off Thirlestaine Road, the week beginning 10th September 2007.

Children are expected to attend;  those unfit must be taken directly to school with a note of explanation for Mrs. Miller-Howell.

The onus is on parents to transport their children to the main entrance to the pool, no earlier than 8.00 a.m. and no later than 8.10 a.m. as follows:

            * Member of staff accompanying children on coach.

On each occasion there will be a fully qualified but non-coaching life-saver in attendance provided by Cheltenham College.

To avoid traffic congestion, I strongly suggest that parents:

a)         Make every effort to approach the pool from the east (i.e. towards Bath Road from Old Bath Road), bearing in mind the entrance is opposite the College Lawn junction.

b)         Drive up to the pool and ‘drop off’ using the one way system;  members of staff will be at hand to usher children in the right direction.

c)         Arrange with one another to share transport.

d)         WHEN DROPPING OFF, CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED BUT HANDED OVER TO A MEMBER OF STAFF.

A coach will transport the children back to school by approximately 9.05 a.m.

N.B.  Swimming bags are available from the school office between 3.30 / 4.00 p.m. at a cost of £5.00
