NSPCC and Childline Fundraising
The Richard Pate School raised £5339.16 for the NSPCC and Childline though a sponsored run around the sports field over a period of a week. Each pupil in the Junior department ran 10km and those in the Prep department did 5km over the week.
Immediately prior to the fundraising activity, Fiona Meredith from the NSPCC talked to the whole school about the work of the charity and the Childline help number.
The Echo photographer came in to record the presentation and the article appeared in the paper on July 1st.
